Warning: You’ll Want to Redecorate Your Bathroom After Seeing These 13 Ideas

Your bathroom doesn’t have to be all about the function it serves. In fact, it has the potential to become one of the most well-decorated spaces of your house. It’s the space where you step in to get the most relaxing bath to unwind at the end of a hectic day. It’s also where you spend several minutes every day going through your morning and evening skincare routine. For all these reasons and more, the idea of decorating your bathroom shouldn’t just stay as an afterthought in your mind.

For everything that a bathroom does for you and your family, it needs to be a fun zone where you really enjoy spending time in. Fortunately, you don’t have to make it undergo complete renovation for it to look stunning. By introducing a few accessories here and there, you can give your bathroom a gorgeous makeover and make it look as perfect as possible.

So if you’ve made your mind up to finally decorate that bathroom of yours, I’ve rounded up some of the best ideas to inspire you in the process:

1. Add An Ornate Mirror

If you want to decorate your bathroom without disturbing its monochromatic vibes, go for an ornate mirror to make the space look roomier and brighter. Choose a mirror with a golden or a black frame that is aesthetically pleasing and visually attractive to anyone visiting the bathroom. An ornate mirror, with its metal frame, provides a great contrasting touch to the white walls and makes the simplest of bathrooms look wholesome.

2. Choose The Right Décor

Choosing a few right décor accessories for your bathroom is any day better than having many random items of decor that don’t match the vibe of this space. The bathroom layout shown in the picture looks like a perfect blend of simplicity and nature with its white vanity and hardwood shelves. Some potted greenery here and there brings in a pop of green and makes this tiny space look cozy yet perfect.

3. Patterned Wall Tiling

Unique and bold patterns never go out of style when it comes to designing the walls of your bathroom. The bold green patterned wall in this bathroom sends out the vibes of a dark farmhouse, and the tall plant seems to be complementing it in the most perfect way.

4. A Marble Bathroom

Though it’s common to find bathrooms embellished with marble flooring, this entire bathroom has been designed using marble as a theme and looks like an escape from the regular. The muted tones and a simple design make this bathroom look elegant in its own way. While the accessories perfectly go with the color palette, the wooden vanity and white sink act as a contrasting factor against the all-marble feels and make this bathroom look complete.

Including natural elements in your bathroom can transform it into a warm and inviting space. This bathroom has all the elements of nature put together – a hardwood vanity, wooden walls, a gorgeous mirror in a wooden frame and lots of potted greenery.

6. Light Up The Space

If the dimensions of your bathroom are too tight to clutter it with décor items, here’s a simple trick to make it look stunning. Install a beautiful piece of lighting to make the space look bright and airy. Besides that, replace your regular mirror with a mid-sized ornate mirror to open the space up and a houseplant to give it a pop of green.

7. Soft Touches

No matter how much you love the color black, it’s impractical to design your bathroom using it as a dominating tone. Then how do you introduce black in your bathroom such that the space doesn’t look dark and uninviting?

Well, it’s quite simple. You can choose to give soft touches of black here and there while ensuring that you don’t overdo it.

The bathroom design shown below has only a single wall painted in black. While the designer has managed to bring accent with simple white tiling on the remaining walls, a few more touches of black have been added in the form of a hand shower, floating shelves and the overhead shower.

8. Mix It Up

If you identify yourself as a risk-taker and want to do something different with your bathroom, play around with colors and accessories that are reflective of your personal taste and style.

In the layout shown below, the designer has chosen to go for soft touches of grey on the walls to bring drama to it and a hardwood cabinet under the sink to add a touch of nature. The playful sink design and the gorgeous aroma diffuser work in contrast with the color palette and make this bathroom look like a curated piece of elegance.

9. A Unique Color Palette

While pink and other soft colors work great for bathrooms just as they do for other spaces of your house, feel free to introduce new shades to give your bathroom a modern touch.

This powder room looks stunning with its soft green and brown color palette. The gorgeous accessories and the greenery brought in by the houseplants make it look like a perfect place to be in.
