Caramel Apple Pearls

Caramel apple pearls are a quick sweet-and-salty treat that takes just a few minutes to make. They’re great for parties, family dinners, or a simple snack to share.

You only need three ingredients to put these together. They’re easy to assemble and have a sweet, salty, and crunchy bite.

You can also make them ahead and keep them in the fridge until serving.

How to Make Caramel Apple Pearls

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 green apples, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 packet Snyder’s square pretzels
  • 1 packet Rolo candies
  • Toothpicks, for assembling

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer with a little space between them. Place one Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.

2. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

3. Bake for 3–4 minutes, until the Rolos are soft. Don’t let them melt completely.

4. Remove the tray from the oven and immediately place an apple cube on each Rolo. Push a toothpick through all three layers to hold them together.

Serve and Enjoy!
This recipe makes about 30–35 pieces. You can make a smaller or larger batch as needed.

Important Recipe Notes:

  • Keep the apples fresh: If you plan to serve the caramel apple pearls later, toss the apple cubes with a little lemon juice to prevent them from browning.
  • Soften, don’t melt: The Rolos only need to soften enough to hold the apple cubes. Don’t leave them in the oven for more than 3–4 minutes, or the Rolos may melt too much.
  • Use sturdy toothpicks: Choose toothpicks that are long enough to hold the apple, caramel, and pretzel together.
  • Chill before serving: If serving later, refrigerate the assembled caramel apple pearls for about 15 minutes before serving. This keeps them fresh and chilled until serving.
