Cinnamon Apple Crescents

Cinnamon Apple Crescents are a simple dessert that takes just a few minutes to put together. They’re great for parties, game days, family dinners, or just when you want something sweet. I also make these when I need a quick apple dessert at the last minute.

You only need 3 ingredients to make these. The apple filling and cinnamon give these crescents a simple, sweet flavor. They’re great for guests, but I also make them when I want a quick homemade dessert.

You can also prepare them ahead and bake them just before serving.

How to Make Cinnamon Apple Crescents

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package Pillsbury Honey Butter Crescent Rolls
  • 1 small can Lucky Leaf Apple Fruit Filling
  • Cinnamon powder, as needed

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Preheat the oven at 350°F.

2. Lay the dough flat on a baking tray. Separate out the triangles.

3. Place a spoonful of apple filling on the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the filling.

4. Roll the crescents: Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the pointed end.

5. Arrange the crescents on a baking tray and sprinkle a little cinnamon powder over the top.

6. Bake the crescents for about 18 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. Check them near the end to make sure they don’t overbake.

7. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

This recipe makes about 8 rolls. You can make more or fewer depending on how many you’re serving.

Important Recipe Notes:

  • Go easy on the cinnamon: Use just a little cinnamon. Too much can overpower the apple filling.
  • Break up the apple filling: Before adding the filling to the dough, use kitchen scissors to snip through the apple pieces in the can, breaking them into smaller chunks. This makes the filling easier to spoon onto the dough.
  • Make ahead: You can make these ahead of time. Bake them and store them at room temperature until you’re ready to serve.
  • Keep an eye on the oven: Ovens can vary, so check them near the end. Do not let the crescents burn.
